Pacific Helicopters introduces high tech chopper

PACIFIC Helicopters owner and CEO, Malcolm Smith-Kela last week introduced the highly technically advanced Airbus helicopters H145 in Port Moresby.

A demonstration was held on the capabilities of the aircraft for Prime Minister Mr Peter O’Neill, head of the Defence Force, Commander Gilbert Toropo and corporate representatives from International oil and gas companies operating in PNG. The H145’s outstanding capabilities are the latest word in rotary-wing flexibility and innovation, well suited to multi-mission roles in an operationally challenging theatre like Papua New Guinea, including Defence Force support, emergency medical services, police, government department duties, oil and gas, aerial work and business and private passenger transport.

"As a result of the introduction of the H145, and the demonstration flights carried out in Port Moresby, Pacific Helicopters is confident that their prospects for future business opportunities within the PNG minerals and resources industry are very exciting.

"The H145 is easily configured to a Defence Support Version, and could provide the potential for a wide range of Military utility and Special Forces missions for the PNG Defence Force and other Government Law and Order Departments, if selected," Mr Kela Smith said

"The H145 is a powerful, comfortable, modern and versatile multi-purpose rotorcraft, already produced with a large range of options to perform a broad mission spectrum that is also ideal for the support of the oil and gas Industry here in PNG," company marketing manager Nicole Demosky," said.
