The high demand in mobile communication service by locally and internationally has prompted Bmobile-Vodafone to introduce the new International Roaming bundle product.With the fastest growing telecom operator in PNG and the Solomon islands the mobile company launched the roaming product yesterday in a small media conference at the Bmobile-Vodafone headquarters in Port Moresby.
The service will enhance the mobile communication services easier for customers to communicate from overseas more cheaply and efficiently.
According to Bmobile-Vodafone Communications Managing Officer Parag Panjwani the launch of the product is the first in PNG.
“We see more people from PNG travelling overseas, so we are helping them to stay connected to their home in PNG and can be able to speak to their families at an affordable price,” Panjawani said.
He added that when a prepaid user of Bmobile-Vodafone travels overseas to Australia, New Zealand or Solomon Islands they will be able to use this friendly service which can keep in touch with PNG for less as K20.00 for three days.
For a better value for money Mr. Panjawani stated that customers can subscribe for the bundle during their travel or before travelling.
With the new international roaming product, Papua New Guineans travelling overseas could pay less as K20.00 for three days which include 10 minute calls to any PNG number, 10 Short Message Service (SMS) and 10 megabyte data.
Calls that are made from overseas into PNG with the roaming service are guaranteed that the service fee will only be charged according to the call rate in PNG and not from the international call rate. Thus, without using the country code number however customers can call directly to people in PNG.
