If you live in a major town or city in PNG, chances are you may already have everything you need to connect to Digicel Play: a new Digicel Play Box and access to our signal via an existing aerial.
If you live in a more remote part of the country, you're likely to need a small satellite dish to recieve our signal.
STEP 1: TALK TO YOUR LOCAL DIGICEL PLAY SPECIALIST
Visit a participating Digicel store and ask to speak to a Digicel Play Specialist.
They will help you determine whether or not you need a bigger aerial - or perhaps a dish. If you need assistance in finding your closest participating store, simply call us on 180 1515.
STEP 2: IF YOU DO NEED A NEW AERIAL
Assuming you live in an urban area, you will need an indoor or outdoor aerial. An indoor aerial retails for K30-K80 and will be reasonably easy for you to connect to your TV and Digicel Play Box.
But should you require an outdoor aerial (retailing for K42) you'll need professional help to install it.
We can co-ordinate this for you through one of our specialist Installation Partners, who will then assist you with STEP 3.
STEP 3: ARRANGE THE INSTALLATION
If you do need an outdoor aerial, once you've successfully purchased and connected your Digicel Play Box to your TV, we will organise one of our specialist Installation Partners to do the installation at a suitable time.
There will be an additional fee for this service - priced according to your location and the length of time it will take the technicians to install your outdoor aerial.You will be required to pay the Installer directly for the outdoor aerial and Installation fee.
Please note:
If you live in a flat or rental property, you may need to obtain permission from your freeholder, landlord or property manager before any installation work can commence. The onus is on you to check.
IF YOU NEED A DISH:
STEP 1: GET PERMISSION TO INSTALL A DISH
In most cases, a dish can be put on a building without the need for planning permission.
But in some cases, such as you require it to be fitted to a registered or listed building, you will need to seek a Listed or Registered Building Consent. It is important to check this before purchasing your dish or arranging for its installation.
STEP 2: TALK TO YOUR OUR PREFERRED INSTALLATION PARTNER.
When you purchase your Digicel Play Box, if you need to install a dish to pick up the Digicel Play Signal, a member of our Service Team will introduce you to one of our specialist Installation Partners who will provide you with a quote and timeline for installation in your area. They will arrange a site visit, if necessary, to further assess your needs and provide a more comprehensive quote so you are fully aware of the installation costs involved.
STEP 3: HAVE YOUR DISH INSTALLED
Once you've agreed on a suitable time for the installation to commence you can sit back and relax.
Our specialist Installation Partner and their team will be doing all the heavy lifting!
