Hi guys, for this tutorial, I am going to take you through on how to set up auto replies or responses on Facebook messages. However, this tutorial only applies to auto responses on Facebook Business Pages as Facebook does not allow auto responses or replies on personal accounts.
How does it work?
Facebook allows auto replies to only Business Pages. This means that when you are inactive or offline on your Facebook account and if someone sends you a message through your Business Page, Facebook will automatically reply the message. That message is the one you set up in your auto response.
An example of an auto reply we set up for our account is stated below.
"Thanks for messaging us. We try to be as responsive as possible. We'll get back to you soon. In the meantime, check our website http://tech.pngfacts.com"
Below are the steps on how to set up an auto reply on your Facebook Business Page.
Steps.
1. Go to your Facebook Business Page (facebook page that your created)
2. Click on the Settings tab as shown below.
3. After clicking on the settings tab as shown above, you will have another menu as shown below. This time, click on Messaging
4. Under Messaging Settings, scroll down to Response Assistance and apply the following:
i . Activate the "Send Instant Replies to anyone who messages your Page" by clicking the radio button to "Yes"
ii. Click on the Change Tab
iii. Enter your auto Response text.
5. You are done!! Save your settings and exit. An auto reply will be sent to anyone who contacts you through your Facebook Business Page while you are offline.
