While the extension for mobile SIM card registration reaches its halfway point up to January 23- one flagship store in Port Moresby is reaping the benefits of a more organized approach to the situation.
Mobile communication provider Digicel PNG’s flagship store in Visions City mall at Waigani has reduced its queries from what was previously a chaotic mad rush to a much lighter approach to customers looking to get their mobile phone numbers registered.
In store specialist Christine Thomas said with registration staff placed in all shops and dealing with customers within the queues the feedback has been much better.
“Customers are happy the feedback is good and they don’t have to move around to look for our registration staff.
“They have staff in the shop that register their newly bought sims or if they are after SIM replacements and if they buy n the streets there are our street freelancers,” Ms Thomas said. Post courier
