PNG Teachers and Public Servants Electronic Payslip Portal goes offline

PNG teachers and Public Servants Payslip Checker application has been gone offline and it is taking nearly 4 months for the Finance Department to restore the service.

The payslip application was made available to both teachers and Public Servants around the country for them to check their payslips online. The government removed the normal print version of the payslips and introduced web based electronic payslips through an online application portal.

However, the application crashed in February this year and the teachers and public servants have been left perplexed on when they will view and print their payslips. Many have taken to the social media questioning why the Finance Department is taking so long to restore the service.

"I use the online WSS service to view and print my payslips to apply for loans to support my Children's Education, it has been a long time and the application is still offline. I can not apply for loans as I am unable to get my payslips. I need help" said one of the teacher commented via social media .
