A new wave of women are playing a major role in the ICT sector in #PNG and among them is Georgina Hilei’i Kiele, who hails from Manus and New Ireland.
As a Cyber Security Analyst at the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), Georgina oversees the facility and systems, raises awareness of the NCSC to government departments and offices, installs endpoints security, and assists with cyber security analyst training for government IT officers.

She is currently attached to the PNG Department of Information and Communications Technology as the Cyber Services Team Leader.
During her career, Georgina has benefited from a number of training opportunities supported by the #PNGAusPartnership such as Cyber Security training.
“These trainings have definitely had an impact on my career,” says Georgina. “For example, the cyber security trainings have opened my mind to real threats in the cyber space. Internet use is growing and there is a greater need to protect our people from these threats.”
Georgina has received a number of accolades throughout her career including a Certificate of Appreciation from the PM Hon. James Marape in recognition of her role in the COVID-19 Joint Agency Task Force and having a Coral Sea Cable System Repeater R1101 named after her in December 2019.
The #PNGAusPartnership is proud to support trailblazing women like Georgina who are playing an important role in sectors such as ICT.
