How to Configure Email, Microsoft Exchange Email on Samsung Galaxy Alpha SMG850Y

Today's smartphones come with apps and inbuilt email settings that allow users to easily access their emails with ease. Below are steps you can employ to configure your Samsung Galaxy Alpha SMG8850Y series.

Note that the you can use the following steps to configure any email address (gmail, private email addresses)  on your Samsung Galaxy Alpha phones. 

1. Go to your phone home screen and Tap Apps.
   
   
   
2. Under Apps, Tap Email.
3.  Enter your Email Address  on this field (gmail, other work email addresses etc)
   
   
   
4.  Enter your Email Password  and tap Next.
5.  It will check Incoming server settings.
6. It will check Outgoing server settings.
7.  Tap Sync schedule.
   
   
   
8. Tap Every 5 minutes.
9. Tap Peak Schedule.
10. Tap Every 5 minutes.
11. Tap Next.
12. Enter the Account name 
    
    
    
13. Enter Your name  and tap Done.
    
    
    
14. Now an email account is configured.

Rollover the following steps to get the visual guide

1. Go to your phone home screen and Tap Apps.
2. then Tap Settings.
3. In General tab tap Accounts.
4. Tap Add account.
5. Tap Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync.
   
   
   
6.  Enter Email Address 
7.  Enter your Microsoft Exchange email Password and tap Manual setup.
8. enter Domain\Username 
9. 
   Enter Exchange server  and tap Next.
   
   
   
   
10. Tap OK.
11. It will start checking incoming server settings.
12. Tap Continue.
13.  It will start checking incoming server settings.
14. Tap OK.
15. Tap Next.
16. Tap Activate.
    
    
    
17.  Enter your Account name  and tap Done.
18. Now account is configured.

If you want to edit either your email or Microsoft Exchange email, you can follow the following steps.

1. Go to your phone home screen and Tap Apps.
2. under Apps, Tap Email.
3. Tap Top right icon.
4. Tap Settings.
5. Tap Manage accounts.
6. Tap Account you want to Edit.
7. Tap More settings.
8. Tap Incoming settings.
9. Now verify rest of the settings and tap Done.
10. It will start checking incoming server settings.
11. Tap Outgoing settings.
12. Now verify rest of the settings and tap Done.
13. It will start checking outgoing server settings.
