Bmobile rolls out free SIM card offer that includes a week’s bonus package

BMOBILE rolled out the second phase of its free SIM card offer on Friday.

The company said in a statement that customers just needed to visit any of the selected bmobile retail outlets around the country to receive their free bmobile 4GLTE Blue SIM.

It said each free SIM came preloaded with bmobile’s Moa Week Pack (which included unlimited on-net calls, 30 minutes of off-net calls, 30 SMS and 300MB – all valid for seven days).

Through the free SIM offer, customers will save K10 (the cost of a SIM card), money which bmobile says can use to purchase other everyday items.

As the nationally-owned mobile network operator, bmobile is committed to assisting its customers through the current tough financial climate brought about by Covid-19.

A bmobile spokesperson confirmed that through the free SIM offer, customers were not only receiving over K60 in value for free, they were also able to stay in touch with their loved ones for free.

With all Moa packs, she continued, bmobile customers were able to make unlimited on-net calls for the validity period of the Moa pack.

In the case of the Moa Week Pack (that comes preloaded with every free SIM), that is an entire week’s worth of unlimited on-net calls.

Bmobile reminded all mobile phone customers that while bmobile free SIMs were still available, it was mandatory to have a valid form of identification for SIM registration.

Under National Information Communication Technology Authority (Nicta) regulations, SIM cards must be properly registered using a valid ID.

Any mobile network operator that allows customers to register a SIM without the use of a valid ID is in violation of Nicta regulations.

The bmobile free SIM offer will continue to be available for a limited period, so customers are encouraged to head to their nearest participating retail outlet to take advantage of it while it lasts.
