“Marketing agency Adzguru (a tech and digital company) has been helping businesses in Papua New Guinea to adapt to the new normal with our 360-degree traditional as well as digital marketing strategies.

“We are helping businesses reach their target audience amongst the 1.37 million internet users with improved internet penetration.

“The Covid-19 has serious repercussions on PNG’s economy.

“Small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) nationwide are facing serious setbacks owing to global lockdowns with decreased demands for goods and services.

“Business owners are facing unprecedented challenges to keep their businesses alive.

“In such trying times, the question is how to keep running the show?

“Change is the only constant and being optimistic even in the face of adversities can go a long way in managing crisis.

“This is what marketers are doing globally by providing digital marketing solutions to companies who are facing total shutdown of business as they become dependent on foot traffic and word of mouth referrals to get customers.

“Stuck at homes during the lockdown, people are glued to their phones, laptop, tabs and desktop to stay connected to the world.

“To capitalise this sudden shift in lifestyle of people, Adzguru has been making customised and targeted ads to reach different segments of people and help companies to sell online.

“With our strong networking in Australia, India and New Zealand, we have been opening new markets for PNG businessmen,” he added.

On the shift in consumer psyche, Maitra said: “The updated technology and technical know-how has empowered the profile of today’s customers based in PNG who are educated, well informed and smart buyers.

“We are helping businesses reach their customers in real time and receive instant feedback on their social media business handles.”

Country manager Timothy Jim said: “Even during these unprecedented times, at Adzguru we have the bandwidth to take your business to 1.4 billion people in India or to our neighbour Australia with 24 million people.

“We can provide tailor made solutions for every business.”

Jim said Adzguru presence in PNG was through the website development and management of Cricket PNG and PNG American Football Federation.
