PNG International Training Institute graduates challenged: Show your real worth

 OVER Papua New Guinea  250 students graduated from the International Training Institute (ITI) with certificates, diplomas, advance diplomas and higher diplomas.

ITI executive manager Sivanathan Sivaruban during the institute’s 56th graduation ceremony held in Port Moresby on Friday, told the 252 graduates to learn with passion and live with purpose.

Sivaruban said the test of what was obtained through their education would be what they were able to accomplish in the future as great responsibilities await them.


“You must show the real worth of your education here at ITI by the way in which your shoulder these responsibilities,” he said.

“I am sure that you have faced the biggest challenges in your studies at ITI, but through your hard efforts, you have overcome the entire obstacle in making life meaningful and also achieved success in your studies.”

Sivaruban also said ITI was planning to offer another certificate and diploma programmes in small and medium business, tourism and hospital management in near future and ITI had established an internal quality assurance division to enhance our quality control across multiple campuses.

He said the increase in demand for the better, quality and affordable education encouraged ITI to further established campuses across four regions such as Port Moresby, Alotau and Kiunga for Southern; Lae for Mamose; Goroka for Highlands; and, Kimbe and Kavieng for New Niugini Island and also Kokopo education centre in East New Britain.

The 252 students graduated with certificates, diploma, advance diploma and higher education diploma in accounting, human resource management, business, sales, computing, information technology, business accounting, business management, human capital management, marketing management and information and communication technology.
