Air Niugini Limited is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill the position of Safety Systems Manager within its Corporate Quality, Safety & Audit Department.

Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Quality, Safety & Audit, the position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day development, administration and maintenance of the Safety Management System (SMS), to meet Air Niugini’s Regulatory and Company requirements.

As the role will require liaison with all levels of people within and outside the Company, having well developed interpersonal skills and leadership skills, as well as attention to detail and excellent report writing are vital.

The successful candidate needs to have:

-         Degree in Engineering, and/or a LAME Licence.

-         Solid administrative capabilities, including high capability with MS Word and at least one recognised airline safety database

-         Possess a Lead Auditor Certificate from a recognised institution

-         Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years in quality, safety and risk assessment in an airline environment

-         Demonstrated experience quality, safety and risk assessment in an Airline Engineering environment.
