The meetings, to be held at APEC Haus in Port Moresby, will bring together ministers and senior government representatives from across the Pacific to exchange ideas on strengthening information and communications technology throughout the region.
Officials welcomed the first group of visitors at Jacksons International Airport today. Receiving the delegation were NICTA Chief Executive Officer Lume Polume, NBC Managing Director Kora Nou and DICT Acting Deputy Secretary Jessy Sekere.
Alongside the official meetings, delegates will participate in the Digital Transformation Summit 2026 Expo between July 20 and 22, where the latest digital technologies and transformation initiatives will be presented to governments, businesses and stakeholders.
Hosting the event places PNG in a leading position to support regional cooperation and encourage continued progress towards a more connected and digitally enabled Pacific.
