Microsoft Company has announced they will cease upgrading their Windows XP software program on the 8th of April this year. This is according to David Palmer the Chief Information Security Officer Operations of Bank South Pacific Limited during an interview with the Post Courier. Mr Palmer said that Microsoft Company has announced that they will stop security packets and support for the operating system of their software product Windows XP operating software used in computers. “This means that businesses that are currently operating this operating software in the country will be vulnerable to risks involved such as those of cyber attacks. You can either pay Microsoft a lot of money to keep the software program or have the computer systems of your computer upgraded to Windows 7 of which is currently on the market to avoid cyber attacks from overseas.”
