ISPs in PNG to set up Google cache

A number of Internet Service Providers in the country are working in collaboration to have Google cache setup in PNG for the common good of improving internet experience for their customers. In a recent meeting in Port Moresby, attended by the Internet Service Providers, a number of resolutions had been agreed to which included a significant decision to invite google to establish caching in PNG. A web cache is an information technology for the temporary storage of web documents such HTML pages and images to reduce bandwidth usage, server load and delays. Hence the Google cache will become useful if the original web page is unavailable due to internet congestion, slow website or owner removing pages from the web.
