Position Vacant: IT MANAGER

The Ela Murray International School (TEMIS) has a current vacancy for the position of IT Manager and invites applications from suitable candidates.

To be considered for the position you will need to:

Responsibilities

• Manage information technology and computer systems.
• Plan, organize, control and evaluate ICT operations.
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Audit systems and assess their outcomes.
• Preserve assets, information security and control structure.

• Demonstrate proven maturity with a strong work ethics and personal standards
• Have had previous experience in a similar role.
• Have proven Leadership Skills and professional ability to handle cross-cultural differences.
• Demonstrate the ability to work extremely well under pressure and independently.
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in IT; at least 5 years of current work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Be able to speak, read and write in English fluently.
• Excellent knowledge in Windows Server 2019 and MS Exchange 2019.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Virtualization and Veeam Backup Systems.
• Hands-on experience with Fortigate Firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.
• Be well versed in ERP systems such as MAZE.
• Have a demonstrated commitment to Occupational Health and Safety compliance.
• Have a demonstrated commitment to child protection.
• Have sound knowledge in Mitel PABX Systems.

Reporting to the Principal, you will be responsible for the smooth operation and delivery of IT services across the 2 campuses and aspects of the staff compound residences.
