The Papua New Guinea Department of Information and Communications Technology is delighted to announce that department has finally established a Digital Government and Information Delivery Wing within the Department of ICT which will be headed by a Chief Technology Officer (Deputy Secretary - Digital Government).
"The Department Wing will be responsible for delivering ICT Shared Services to all Public Bodies, which includes facilitating a Government Virtual Private Cloud arrangement for whole-of-government usage.
"Amongst other services, we are looking at providing policy and operational oversight on cyber security and cyber safety matters.
"There is still so much to do. Exciting times ahead as we work towards delivering safe and secure ICT services for our people" the Secretary, PNG Department of Information and Communications Technology Mr Steven Matainaho says.
