This position works closely with key operational support teams to ensure the safe and optimal running of industrial control networks, infrastructure and applications. As this is a complex and demanding role that has a significant impact on LNG operational reliability and safety, a wide range of skills and experience in IT, Operational Technology (OT), project engineering in complex processing facilities is required to perform effectively.
Typical Responsibilities of the Role include:
- Monitors and maintains the health and security of OT systems which includes networks, infrastructure and applications.
- Builds effective relationships with system engineers, maintenance specialists, operators, IT, and control system vendors to ensure OT changes are specified, designed, tested, documented, and implemented in accordance with company management of change processes and safe work practices.
- Assists with OT system component life cycle planning and site execution of software and hardware refresh of legacy infrastructure.
- Maintains the OT infrastructure is compliant with Company policies, standards, and cybersecurity controls.
Desirable Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or related discipline is preferred; however actual hands-on OT industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum 6-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure in an Operational Technology (OT) environment (preferably Oil and Gas).
- Extensive support and troubleshooting of Network switching infrastructure (VLANs/VRF), Firewalls, VMware HA/DRS/FT and SAN technologies.
- Advanced support and troubleshooting of Microsoft Windows server and client operating systems, Microsoft Active Directory, including the management and implementation of Group Policy Objects.
- Experience with maintaining cyber security, information Protection and compliance on process control Systems.
- Proficient in understanding of, and able to communicate with, technical practitioners on the following:
- SCADA, DCS, PLCs, HMIs and related industrial control systems
- OPC, Historians, relational databases
- System integration, network topology and protocols such as TCP, Modbus
- Industry Standards and best practices that are applicable to IT/OT environments
- Common secure network architectures used in IT/OT environments
