Digitally Empowering Children to Read in PNG

In this modern world, digital technology is empowering children to learn and to read with ease and efficiency. And in Papua New Guinea's Pomio district, digital technology has been utilized to drive learning and reading. According to promoter of Digital learning in the district, Evangelista Apelis, digital libraries are delivered to schools in the district.

" After almost a year of planning and preparation, our team successfully delivered a digital library and 200 SolarBuddy lights to Warangoi Elementary School in Pomio District, East New Britain Province.

The digital sparks library kit consists of 40 tablets preloaded with 700+ books, most of which are written by PNG authors. Apart from the donations made, we also conducted a training for teachers to learn how to operate the tablets. she stated via social media. 

As a team of young people, we believe in team work, taking initiative and having the heart to serve.

With the implementation of the digital library project,  it will improve the standard of learning for the students". she said.
