Declaration of PNG Government ICT Vendors and Cloud Service Providers

The  Papua New Guinea (PNG) Ministry for Information and Communications Technology is hereby directing for the implementation of National Executive Council (NEC) Decision No. 39/2021, which endorses that all sovereign data be stored and processed in one secure platform environment. This decision is consistent with the industry best practices and the Government’s cloud-first approach for the secure and cost-effective digital delivery of government services.


Based on this NEC decision, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is now coordinating a whole of government approach to cloud services. All agencies are to now recognize this position made by the NEC.

As part of phase one implementation, I am hereby advising all national departments, agencies, provincial and sub-national entities to submit details of their engaged ICT vendors, cloud service providers and further declare where these specific services are hosted.

Declarations can be submitted via email on Shared.Services@ict.gov.pg by Friday 25 February 2022 at 4:06 pm.

Further coordination and implementation are to be made by the Department of Information and Communications Technology.
