Google has recently announced a new adsense feature called "related Search for content pages''. Google notified adsense account holders through notices in their accounts. Tech Pacific understands, the new feature is similar to the link ads that google retired last year. Google seems to bring back this link ads but carrying different name with different settings. The tech giant announced that the new AdSense for Search feature displays search terms related to the content of the pages the website users are reading.
Benefits : Using related search on a content pages can encourage users to explore relevant topics on their sites and engage with search ads. This will also increase revenue for website owners who are running the adsense program.
How to Apply
According to Google, to use related search on their content pages, they need to complete the necessary contracting steps for AdSense for Search. Please contact your account manager to activate AdSense for Search for your AdSense account.
This means, the feature is in beta stages and only invited adsense account holders can trial it out on their websites. Google will eventually make this feature available on all account holders in the near future.
The tech giant says once this feature is available in their account, they can create related search units in their AdSense account, style them to match the look and feel of their site, and start using them with a simple code change. Learn more about related search for content pages.

So, do you think Google is bringing back Link Ads? Many adsense account holders were devastated as they lost revenue when Google suddenly retired link ads. Google in its own research realised the importance of link ads and how it generated revenue for them. If the new ad "related search for content pages" assimilate link ads and is fully implemented to all account holders, it is a win, win solution for both Google, advertisers and adsense account holders.
