Food delivery company in PNG launches mobile app

A FOOD delivery company in Papua New Guinea (PNG)  has launched a mobile App   aimed at making purchases of items convenient and safer for customers.

GoFood PNG chief operation officer Vavine Anang said the company had been operating for six years in Port Moresby and they were planning to extend their operations to Lae and Mt Hagen soon.

“GoFood has 30 plus partnership with leading restaurants in Port Moresby, three grocery shops and six leading catering services,” she said.

Anang said GoFood had done 2,500 deliveries so far and 3,000 engagements on social media with 15,000 online users visiting their website.

“The GoFood App is a boost for the business as it looks forward for more online users to use our multiple online services,” she said.

She said online users could download the GoFood App from App Store or Google Play Store and use it to do their orders at their own convenience.

“The GoFood App starts with a free download, registration is done using Gmail or phone numbers.

Anang said they had conducted a survey with their customers and found that their customers were mostly females between the ages of 15 and 25 years who used their GoFood delivery services because it was safe and convenient.

“A two-year survey indicated that 50 per cent of our clients were females,” she said.
