The Government of Papua New Guinea(PNG) has identified law and order, combating corruption, and reducing violence against women as national development priorities. PNG’s strategic framework prioritizes reducing crime and social unrest to achieve the vision of a ‘just, safe and secure society for all’ as the foundation for improving economic and social development.
The Justice Services and Stability for Development Program (JSS4D) is an Australian Government funded program that seeks to support PNG through targeted support to PNG’s national and subnational law and justice agencies in selected provinces, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville, and civil society groups.
Position Objective: Communications and Public Relations Adviser
The Communications and Public Relations Adviser promotes the achievements, impact and learning from Australia’s support to the law and justice sector in Papua New Guinea, to a range of stakeholders and audiences, through innovative use of media and technology. This position will be based in Port Moresby and will require some travel to provinces.
Duration of Engagement: Full time to 31 December 2023.
