THE Bank South Pacific says Digitec, an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) company, has joined the bank’s growing e-commerce family of businesses driving the adoption of digital payments.

BSP, in a statement, said Digitec collaborated with the bank to integrate an online payment solution onto their website by providing customers a 24/7 access to their products and services thus promoting safe contactless online payments during the Covid-19 new normal.

BSP head of digital design, development and operations, Belinda Manning said its e-commerce service offered businesses the opportunity to expand their reach to markets beyond their location and receive instant payments with ease of reconciliation.

“BSP as an enabler of digital payments in PNG and the Pacific, understands the growing needs of organisations and businesses and we are committed to delivering innovative payment solutions for each transition through your journey,” Manning said.

Digitec chief executive officer Nirmal Singh said: “Consumerisation is changing the way B2B (business-to-business) customers pay for products they want.

“While adjusting our business to utilise online payments, we become more used to other types of trends coming in the market that will keep our business relevant among our target audience.”

Mahesh Anthal, senior solutions manager said: “Both the company and customer get notified immediately with fast payment.

“There is less of a manual process; cash flow will be consistent when recurring payments are implemented, real-time authorisation, faster funding and sales.”
