Position Details

This position is based in Port Moresby and reports to the General Manager Human Resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for facilitating BSPs Human Resource initiatives across the BSP Group.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure BSP HRs strategic and business needs are in compliance with legal and regulatory bodies including the Bank of PNG and relevant authorities in all the jurisdictions in which BSP Operates in.
  • Provides the support and consultation with management on performance, organisational and leadership matters.
  • Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
  • Assist in the facilitation and coordination of annual activities in Engagement surveys and Staff Performance reviews for the Group.
  • Managing & Developing the HR Strategy and policies accordingly to the overall strategic needs of BSP.
  • Coach and support direct subordinates by conducting regular performance reviews, and identifying training & development needs in order to generate a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the review and updating of Job Profiles in the BSP Group to ensure correct application of BSP Technical Skills Frame work & Competencies Analysis for the job.
  • Support the GMHR in the development and implementation of HR policies and integration of improvements of HR policies and procedures Group-wide.

Essential Qualifications, Professional/Technical Skills & Experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in Business related discipline or Human Resources Management.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Understanding of HR strategies and Government Regulation.
  • Understanding Job Analysis techniques and Competency Management.
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Applications
  • Advanced knowledge of HR policies and procedures.
  • Intermediate Technical Skills in People Management Processes.
  • Have minimum of 7 years in management experience.
  • Have related professional qualification, Certification in HAY Evaluation.
