| Digicel PNG Brings Starlink Internet Services to Remote Areas |
Digicel PNG has moved to strengthen internet connectivity services in Papua New Guinea by introducing Starlink satellite internet solutions for businesses and enterprises nationwide.
The company announced this week that it has been authorised through an agreement with Telstra to resell Starlink services in PNG.
The new service is expected to assist companies and organisations operating in isolated areas where access to stable and fast internet has remained a challenge for many years.
Digicel PNG said the addition of Starlink to its enterprise portfolio reflects its commitment to providing flexible and modern communication solutions for customers across the country.
“Through our agreement with Telstra, we are now authorised to resell Starlink services - bringing advanced satellite connectivity to businesses, especially in remote and hard-to-reach locations where traditional infrastructure is limited,” the company said.
The company added that successful early testing had shown promising results and would help unlock more opportunities for businesses and institutions needing dependable internet services.
Starlink, developed by SpaceX, uses low-Earth orbit satellites to provide internet connectivity in remote regions around the world.
