A website to promote PNG's participation at the World Expo in Dubai has been officially launched.
The PNG Expo2020 website, www.pngworldexpo2020.com with the theme; 'Connecting Minds and Creating Opportunities for Sustainable Development' will be used to tell PNG stories across the globe through the world event in Dubai.
Also launched this morning was the Expo 2020 PNG branding.
This launching is part of PNGs participation in that world event in October this year.
The event was supposed to have taken place last year but due to COVID-19, it has been postponed to this year.
The preparations for the WorldExpo2020 involve a whole-of-PNG government approach.
Four cabinet ministers including Ministers for Information & Communications Timothy Masiu, Culture and Tourism Isi Henry Leonard, Forestry Walter Schnaubelt, Minister assisting the Prime minister on Foreign Direct Investments Richard Masere
and Foreign Affairs and International Trade Soroi Eoe officiated at the launch.
Also in attendance were members of the Diplomatic Corps and heads of public entities and private sector organisations.
Meantime, PNG made products and artifacts to be displayed at the Dubai world Exposition has set sail last Saturday.
PNGDF personnel are on board a ship loaded with a 40-Foot container containing PNG made products such as Besta Tined fish, PNG Water and artifacts such as bilums and baskets among others.
The ship with a 40-Foot container will take approximately 28 days to arrive in Dubai.
The made products will be on display at the Dubai WorldEXpo in October.
