Western Power is offering a 6-month Work Integrated Learning scholarship for a budding IT Developer to join their Application Development Team. The successful candidate will be mentored by the Project Delivery team, working in an Agile Scrum/Kanban environment.
This role will see you working on code related deliverables in Java/.Net and Sharepoint. And will give you a solid grasp of project life cycles, enhance your technical skills, develop customer handling skills and project delivery skills.
Required Skills/Knowledge
Good communication skills - oral and written
Interest in software development process and software lifecycle
Solid coding skills – Java, .Net
Good understanding of database – SQL or Oracle
Team player
Desired Skills
Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering and technical documentation
Good time management
Well organised
Adept with technology with a strong thirst for new technologies
Strong analytical skills and effective problem solving ability
You must be studying toward a recognised qualification in Information Technology / Information Systems. Graduates may apply but must be willing to enrol in a post graduate unit.
