Bank South Pacific Announces Online Payment System for insurance products

BANK South Pacific (BSP) has announced the launch of online payments for insurance products from PHA Health Assurance Company Ltd for ease of payments through their website.
PHA is a digital insurance company that provides insurance protection for individuals and corporate clients with the aim of providing access to affordable healthcare plans and general insurance for all Papua New Guineans.
According to a statement from BSP, PHA is specialised in health insurance in PNG, with over 30,000 customers.
Adding to existing payment preferences of customers from conventional cheques to bank transfers, PHA now partnered with BSP to successfully integrated online payments for its customers through the PHA website.
PHA group chief executive Raj Juta said: “An online payment gateway would allow us to reach a more significant segment of customers simply because it gives them the flexibility of purchasing insurance in different ways. Whether it is with credit or debit cards, or online payments through mobile, the customer will enjoy a new experience of engaging with insurance – seamless buying experience from any mobile device at anytime – 24/7, 365 days a year. Our partnership with BSP is strategic as we grow the overall fintech ecosystem in the region and the future of digital insurance in PNG.”
