The Institute of Business Studies (IBS) or the IBS University, from its’ humble beginning in 1987 as an arm of Nades & Associates primarily providing revision classes for the needs of Papua New Guinea Institute of Accountants (now CPA PNG), has evolved into a private University level Institution over the last 34 years. Today we are one of the largest business schools in the country and off degree programmes in the fields of Accounting & Finance, Business & Management, Economics & Development Studies and Information Technology. We also continue to provide study pathways for grade 10 & 11 school leavers including industry accreditations for those seasoned professionals who want to get certified in their field.

ABOUT THIS ROLE 

As a member of the Information Systems & Analytics Team, you will need to assist in the wide range of functions across the University. Your role primarily focuses on student record management. As a results person you will need to be comfortable working autonomously and, on the job, coaching and mentoring will be provided to enable you to perform at your best. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Collaborate with the Student Services team to assist in the digitization of any paperwork into the Student Management System.
  • Ensuring all student files correspond to system files. These files may include application forms, Registration forms, Transcripts, (may also include bank receipts) etc.  
  • If files are missing, ensure the Student Services team, provide documents to be converted.  
  • Planning and organizing files to be converted into electronic format and store in accordance with the Information Management Policies.


SELECTION CRITERIA 


  • At least a Certificate in Information Technology or similar field 
  • Ability to plan, manage and complete tasks in a timely manner  
  • Capacity to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff and management   
  • Sound Computer skills  
  • Having skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects  
  • Good work ethics, sober habits and the right attitude.
